The Barn Dinner

Concept & Production
For the Barn Dinner, a one-night dining experience created in collaboration with Motra, an old barn was transformed into a setting where traditional architecture met contemporary design, hospitality, and culinary culture. The concept explored the tension between the raw, familiar atmosphere of the barn and a carefully curated selection of modern design elements, creating a space that felt both rooted and unexpected.
The French chef duo, Toutia, was invited to create a three-course menu for the evening, bringing a refined culinary experience into the rustic surroundings of the barn. The dinner was complemented by a considered selection of design and brand partners, including Œuvres Sensibles for textile design, Bocci for lighting, Jan Kath for rugs,
Throughout the experience, traditional elements of the barn were intentionally contrasted with contemporary pieces, creating a dialogue between craftsmanship, design, food, and place. From the spatial atmosphere and lighting to textiles, rugs, table setting, and hospitality, each element contributed to a cohesive visual and sensory experience.
The result was an intimate gathering that reinterpreted the traditional barn dinner through a contemporary lens, bringing together design, culinary culture, and hospitality in an unexpected setting.
Scope: Concept development & production in collaboration with Motra, design partner curation, creative direction, partnership management, brand collaborations, guest experience.
